How to play “The Train” golf game
- Get on the train! Make a net birdie (or better) or two consecutive net pars to get on the train.
- Accumulate points! Once on the train, accumulate as many points as possible. Bogey=1, Par=2, Birdie=3, Eagle=4.
- Stay on the train! Make a net double bogey or two consecutive net bogeys and you fall off the train and lose all of your points.

All players can access live standings from their phones while on the course.
Using the Google Sheets app, a player from each group is responsible for entering group gross scores after each hole. The spreadsheet calculates net scores, points, and money earned. It also highlights when a player is “on the train” and when a player has “fallen off the train” and lost all of their points.
Event setup is incredibly easy! Just enter player names and handicaps, choose a buy-in amount, and adjust hole handicaps and par.
This spreadsheet is set up to handle between 2-20 players, but additional scorecards can be added for a small additional fee.
