How to play “The Calcutta” golf game
- Host an auction! Auction off players in an auction. The highest bidder owns that player and is paid if that player wins.
- Play the event! While the auction is fun, the actual event is even better. All players compete in a net stoke-play event. Owners and players can track live standing using the below spreadsheet!
Track your game with a Bud & Birdies Golf “Calcutta Game Leaderboard” spreadsheet
All players can access live standings from their phones while on the course.
Using the Google Sheets app, a player from each group is responsible for entering group gross scores after each hole. The spreadsheet calculates net scores and updates the leaderboard. It also highlights when a player has a handicap stroke and when they make a net birdie.
The auction is easy! Set up the auction by entering player names and handicaps, The spreadsheet will tell you who to auction next. Run your auction and then enter the owner(s) of and winning bid amount for each player.
This spreadsheet is set up to handle between 2-12 players, but additional scorecards can be added for an additional fee.
